| Keys, ordering additional keys, ordering locking cylinders - how? | Obtain the number and designation of your existing key. Then order the new key from your local Kaba partner. Note: Your Kaba partner will require the information given on the security card (plan number, security code, and possibly the TAN number). |
| The property is being sold. What should we do? | The following points need to be addressed:Is the property secured using security cards? Do you have a security certificate? Contact your local Kaba partner. |
| How much does a key cost? | Your local Kaba partner can supply you with price information. You can find your local Kaba partner here. |
| Found key – what now? | Please send the key or the card (badge) to Kaba AG, Lost Keys, Postfach, 8620 Wetzikon, to a lost property office or to the police. Please mention where you found the key. Kaba AG will send the key back to its owner. For security reasons, we are unable to give any information as to the owner of the key. |
| Whose signature is that on key plan xxx? | Contact your local Kaba partner. They will be able to help you. |
| Lost keys! Do I have to report them? | No. You do not have to report lost keys. Any keys received from Kaba AG will automatically be sent back to their owner (provided the key was registered). More about lost keys... |
| The lock/cylinder is defective. Can you send a repairman? | All service for your locking system is provided by your local Kaba partner. For repairs and orders, contact your local Kaba partner. |
| Where is my local Kaba partner? | You can find your local Kaba partner here. |
| Is there a Kaba salesman working in my region? | Send us an e-mail (info@kaba.ch) with your address and telephone number and we will contact you as soon as possible. |

| I am dissatisfied with my local Kaba partner! | You can see a list of our authorised partners here. You are free to choose with which Kaba partner you wish to work. |
| I have ordered keys/cylinders but nothing has arrived! | Contact your the Kaba partner who took your order. |
| How do I order a locking system? | If you are a Kaba partner, you can make orders via the Kaba Partner Portal. As an end customer, please contact your local Kaba partner. |
| How long does Kaba have patent rights for the Kaba 20, Kaba star? | The patent for the current generation of the Kaba 20 and Kaba star systems is valid until 2020. |
| Who can sign for my locking system? | Contact your local Kaba partner. They will be able to help you. |
| My keys have been lost or stolen – what now? | Depending on the importance of your keys, mechanical locking systems may have to have individual or in some cases all affected cylinders replaced. For mechatronic or electronic locking systems, the lost key is simply deleted. To be sure, contact your local Kaba partner as soon as possible. |
| How can I find out which Kaba partner is taking care of my locking system? | The address of the partner looking after your locking system is printed on the back of your security card brochure. |
| Key finder | Plaquette attached to your keying designed to ensure that your key will reach you again if it is lost (this is not necessary if your keys are registered with Kaba). |
| What is the bump key method? | The bump key method is a method of opening a lock by bumping an ill fitting key in an attempt to open the cylinder. For more information click here... |
| How can I protect my locking system? | To maintain the protection of your Kaba locking system, Kaba has defined security rules that govern the handling of found keys, ordering replacement keys, and similar matters. You can find details here. You can find details here... |
